neat card trick

this has nothing to do with jw stuff.. i want to show you a little card trick you can do with your friends.

you and another person have to be in on it.

just watch the video and you'll see.

if we are made in gods image, then we must have at least some of his reasoning ability, and we have many thoughts on why god would punish all mankind and their offspring for 1000s of years, torture and kill many, for the testing of adam and eve, god said it was good, then why do you have to test them, it was all good right?.

i have great kids, but if i put candy in front of them, and i say dont eat this, they will eat that candy, maybe not tday, but it will come up missing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

and when it is mising, will i punish them , and all there kids for 6000 years, even torture my oldest son for there candy eating, seems like cruelty, god of love???????????

What's the longest you've spent without going on a computer?

i don't spend a day without turning on my computer.

sometimes i wonder how long i could go without turning this thing on..... it's true that i have good music downloaded and i enjoy listening to music and i love reading bad news...lol and i also love to have a peek here on jwd and chat now and then.. since the last 5 years, i guess i didn't spend a day without going on a computer.

Attn: JW's and Bible Students - Lets Discuss John 1:1

this verse came up on the thread about whether or not jesus is michael the archangel.

i wanted to discuss it in further detail on a new thread because i think raised on the other thread was an important point about how jw's and bs translate john 1:1.

1in the beginning was the word, and the word was with god, and the word was god.. as we know the nwt adds an "a" to say "and the word was (a) god, when there is no support for this in the ancient greek manuscripts.

I like using multiple versions this way I can see and judge for myself on which one I feel I should go for. All that say of why verses were "left out" of todays Bibles because it wasn't in older manuscripts. I am not going to knock that or deny it, but because the KJV has it NKJV I'm going to go with it. Sure if it is not found in other modern translations I go to the NKJV or KJV and see what I am missing.

Individuals who use the NWT did you ever wonder what was missing when you saw that little -- when a verse was not placed because "it did not belong". did you go to another bible to see? Where you forbidden to look at another bible? Sorry for the questions, I'm currious.

I was thinking of something the other day. I realized how much people can take the Bible out of Context. Sure, they use the Bible but they teach it in an incorrect way.

ie. If you follow the teachings and not read the entire verse or section you can do something "wrong" and say; "but it is in the Bible, so it must be okay."

I'll use a verse from Gen. and take just a few words out of context.

Genesis 27:18

18 ~~He went to his father and said, "My father."~~ "Yes, my son," he answered. ~~"Who is it?"~~

I'm going to take this verse into concideration and tell my cousin to rob a bank. Why? Because the bible said to.

Okay, so maybe this is a little extreme but if one really thinks about it. If you are sitting in a hall listening to the people tell you to go from this verse to that verse just how long do you stay on this verse before he's telling you to go to that verse already. There really is no explaination other than "it is in the bible so it must be so."
